Hops and Holly 2023 Recap

Our Hops and Holly fundraising event for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Franklin County began in 2013. Talented home brewers and an enthusiastic chef inspired it. Together, they paired unique beers with creative small plates. And now, Hops and Holly 2024 will continue that tradition by offering excellent craft beers paired with outstanding small plates. Our inventive chefs are from area restaurants, including Bodega, Salt and Lime Cabo Grill, Indulge Catering, Franko’s Italian Steakhouse, Eli’s Tavern, and Sugar Grinders Bakery. D’s Bottle Shop and Craft Beer College have coordinated several of the beers. Various breweries, including Lynwood, Black Bird, Bombshell, Crank Arm, Trophy, Edit, and HopFly, will be represented. Also, Louisburg’s Tar Banks Brewing will returned for a second year.

That first Hops and Holly in 2013 raised approximately $2500.00. Hops and Holly 2023 raised over $30,000.00. A year’s membership is $10.00 per child, but the actual cost is closer to $3,000.00. Our donation to the Club helps to provide supplies for programs and fuel for the bus that transports children to the Club. It also furnishes funds for expenses not covered by grants or other funding sources.
